Poured from a crowler on 9/26/2015 into a snifter.
Poured cola black with very small amount of espresso crema colored head.
Smells of pumpkin but not overwhelmingly so. When drinking it straight out of the fridge the pumpkin taste is somewhat subtle but becomes more and more prominent as the beer warms and opens up. I think the ideal temperature is a bit closer to room temperature. The smell has some pumpkin to it but also has a bit of alcohol to it, however, there is no alcohol taste whatsoever in this 10.5 % beast. A little thinner mouthfeel than I was expecting, and thinner than regular Ten Fidy.
Strong pumpkin stays on the tongue. Brilliant balance of a great "base" beer and pumpkin. The pumpkin is there but you it doesn't eliminate that great Ten Fidy stout flavor. An absolutely delicious pumpkin stout and the best I can remember having so far. My only wish is that this was bottled for the season!
