On nitro tap at BC's Pizza & Beer
A: Pours deep dark brown with a creamy khaki head settles to a firm layer that hangs around and leaves some very nice lacing.
S: Roasted malt, earthy, a touch of chocolate and coffee, faint dark fruit, and a touch of toffee sweetness.
T: Roasted malt, burnt toast, a little coffee, faint herbal tones, a touch of dark fruit, and a little toffee sweetness.
M: Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, smooth.
O: Pretty nice easy drinker. Lighter than I was expecting. I wish the molasses came out more, but the lager yeast kept things pretty clean.

On tap. Poured an oil-black color with a small, light brown head of foam. It smelled of chocolate, molasses and subtle coffee notes. Sweet chocolate, molasses and toffee taste with a mild coffee taste.
