Are you ready for your money shot? Arrived a slightly hazy lemony yellow color with a soft white head. Good retention through the tasting though did die out before finishing. Limited lacing though.
The nose comes out with a stronger grainy and husky aromas. Mostly malty but noticeable corn aromas. A bit of acetaldehyde as well. Some stronger grassy notes come out and emphasis the husky aspect of the aroma. Some minor yeast notes but nothing over the top.
The taste is a bit more descriptive versus the nose. The malt comes out more but so does the corny flavors. Very noticeable grainy notes that are a bit harsh. There is a bitterness that comes out as well that lasts into the finish. Some grassy finish but really is limited from the bitterness. The yeast is relatively clean, but some minor yeast notes. The apple notes are there but not as bad as the aroma indicated.
The body is a bit sweet for style but finishes dry so ok. There is an astringency issue that I have with this, that I think is coming from the malt. Overall not bad, even for a cream ale.

Had this back to back with the Sirius from Lagunitas on draft at the Brick Store. Sirius is not my favorite Lagunitas beer by any means, but next to it this tasted like nothing. I'm a big fan of Oskar Blues, but not because of beers like this. Pours nicely for a cream ale, quite pale, with a very white head that is surprisingly dense- the money shot. Constant bubbles and high carbonation. The smell is just of very light whiffs of grain and malt. The taste is similarly light. A little prickly at first, it becomes creamier as some of the carbonation escapes. Flavors of light cream and the merest hint of hops and cereal grain develop. Mouthfeel is very light but somewhat creamy. Pretty bland beer, but not unpleasant.

Grabbed a pint at the Hop Devil in NYC.
Immediately reminds me of Lagunitas's Sirius Cream Ale, in that the sucker is fairly hoppy. This could easily pass as a pale ale, maybe even a low-flying IPA once its warm. The malt is creamy and subdued, not really much going on, but the hops are clean shine. There's a nice mix of grassy and citrus. Worth a try if you like hops and want to change things up. Also a good beginner hops beer.

Had this on draught at Taco Mac E/W Connector.
Very average beer and by far my least favourite offering from Oskar Blues. Poured a clear, clean yellow colour with a very thin head that vanished in only seconds leaving alot to be desired. There was also a faint greenish hue when held up tp the light, almost as though this were a water sample taken from a pond. So far, I'm far from impressed. Smell was a bit sweet, with a very light mention of hops if you're looking for it. Taste was rather uneventful with the exception of a pleasant dry biscuity finish. A fairly smooth beer, this was otherwise somewhat of a disappointment. OB would do well to keep this as a "one time" project.

Had this at old chicago here, today & yesterday, this a composite of the 2 tastings. Yesterday's was better...
Poured golden & clear with 1"of white head. Good head retention & lacing
S:Sweet honey malt & not much else
T: Sweet honey malt & straw up front. Grassy/grainy notes & more malts (honey & toffee). Finishes sweet & dry, with a slight lemon hop signature
MF: light/medium bodied, smooth & great balance
Super drinkability, this is one of the best cream ales I've ever had, not suprised considering the source!

Serving Type Sampled: On tap at Oskar Blues Restaurant and Brewery - Lyons, CO.
Appearance: Pours straw in color with a snow white 2 finger crème head.
Smell: Light maltiness with balance of spicy, floral hops.
Taste: I defiantly taste pils malt upfront. Hops are apparent but not over powering. I also taste a hint of esters. This brew is very light in comparison to the rest of Dales brews.
Mouthfeel: Light in body, moderate carbonation.
Drinkability: Great. This is a good everyday drinking beer. Very much resembles an American light lager with out the nasty rice flavor. Very smooth.

New offering from the brewery, so I thought I'd try it. Presented one finger clingy pure white head over a very light golden liquid. Crystal clear. Smells pils malt and saaz hops. Touch of tang.
Tastes wonderful. Wet sweet to start, but peppery zing in the ending dries the palate. Pils malt and orange which may be from the hops. Orange from the hops mixes with gentle esters, but they are very light. Overall, quite clean and almost lager-like. Dark musty grain character. Overall the beer is much more complex than the light color promised. I really enjoyed this one.
Md body bordering on md-light. Thicker than I would expect from the style. Very drinkable, I could easy put away 3 or 4 of these.
