Had this on from a cask tapped by Dale (as in Dale's Pale Ale) himself at The Flying Saucer Houston
A - Very similar appearance to Old Chub, dark brown with a hint of red and no lacing, but it was on cask.
S - There is a great balance between the bitter sweet maltiness you want from a scotch ale and the extremely sweet espresso you'd want from a cafe au lait.
T - The taste started off with almost no coffee which was a bit worrisome, but as it warms and a few sips go by, the sweetness starts to come out, without overpowering the caramel in the Old Chub. Dangerously drinkable.
M - No carbonation (On cask) but the mouthfeel was incredibly smooth and creamy.
O - This is a great beer, if you're a fan of the Old Chub or of coffee, it's worth searching out, but good look. I'd definitely drink it again if I came across it.

A - Pours with a bubbly, semi-frothy very light tan colored head that did stick around too long. Minimal lacing, but I tend not to expect that from the style; murky dark brown color
S - Iced coffee aromas; a bit roasty; lacto-sweetness smell; not as peat-smokey or sweet as the original Chub
T - Nice coffee presence up front, but not overpowering; tasty roasted malts; bit of caramel sweetness; really balanced nicely and tasty; booze completely masked
M - Medium and a little creamy and sticky at the same time; very subtle carbonation
D - Nicely drinkable, but I much prefer the 'warmer' tastes of the original. Still nice enough.
Overall, definitely worth a look if you come across it and pretty tasty.

Picked up a growler from Whole Foods- Bowery
Chocolate red with a creamy tan head. Heavy lacing.
A rich malty aroma combined with espresso beans. A little bit of chocolate in there too.
INCREDIBLE taste. The sweet malt is balanced with just the right amount of coffee. Caramel and hazelnut.
Mouthfeel is creamy, with a prick of carbonation on the tongue. Alcohol is kept behind the scene.
Dangerously drinkable. Let this one warm up a bit before enjoying. You won't be disappointed. This is a very impressive "experiment" from Oskar Blues.
