Saddle up for a bulldogger of a tart ale w/ tropical pink guava & citrusy tangerine flavors. We’ve wrangled together notes of papaya, passion fruit & melon for a refreshing, spritzy brew w/ just the right amount of sour. This one’s got spurs.

355 ml can at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 6.0%. Clear orange colour, moderate to small white head. Aroma of guava, tangerine and other undefined fruits, seems a bit "artificial" though. Sour flavour, same elements as the aroma, also lactic acid and lemons. Not my cup of tea. I expected something better from Oskar Blues.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left minimal lacing on the glass. It smelled of tangerine, tart guava, lemon and some caramel. Very tart with guava, tangerine and lemon. Light caramel sweetness for balance.

Purchased at the brewery for about $5. This is a review I wrote on a napkin and stuffed in my pocket from a week ago, and simply forget it was in my pocket. Enjoyed with a grilled cheese and fries from the food truck at the brewery.

L - Hazy gold, with a three-finger pale white head.
S - Guava is strong in this one! Hints of generic wheat and citrus. Maybe a bit of clementine.
T - Guava, orange, and sweet wheat. As soon as the initial sweet note hits you, the tartness hits - and it hits you like a bus! Acidic finish, and well-balanced as a whole.
F - Medium-bodied, and with medium carbonation. Smooth and refreshing. One could easily have four or five of these in one sitting without realizing it.
O - A refreshing sour, and great with lunch. A beer with vibes that fit the vibe of the outdoor dining area of the brewery. Fun, if you will. I wouldn't say it's a must-try, but it was pretty good.

This is mostly just sour to me at first but not bad, I think I just need to have more of this, I look forward to seeing this on tap anywhere.

Taking the tastebuds on quite a wild ride, Oskar Blues sees warmer weather on the horizon and straps on the boots for tropical taste with quite an acidic kick.

Pale gold and set in a mild haze, Guava Rodeo, a blanket of froth skirts the rim while the tantalizing perfume of tropical fruit, cider, citrus and vinous tartness tingle the nose. A scantly sweet taste makes first malty impressions with hints of taffy, honeysuckle and a modest dry breadiness.

But an explosion of fruit occurs on the middle palate as the guava flavors bring an exotic and succulent tropical taste to the forefront. With a backdrop of orange, white wine and cider, a tropical leading fruit cocktail comes to mind. As the suggestions of gooseberry, lime, green apple and passionfruit pulling from the beer's natural sourness, the beer soon closes with a bracingly tart late palate and a dry, crisp mouthfeel.

Light and dry in body, Guava Rodeo is a highly thirst quenching ale that's sure to refresh the palate and quail the thirst. A quick finish is followed by a brief tropical echo of fruit and fauna.
