4 oz. pour into snifter
This beer was created for Tasty Weasel's Firkin release. It comprises a blend of Dale Pale Ale and GUBNA Imperial IPA, dry-hopped with Willamette hops.
From notes. Consumed at the Tasty Weasel Taproom following the 2011 Tour de Cure in August. Excellent stop after a quick 60 mile bike ride for a great cause!
A: Hazy, burnt orange. No head.
S: Hidden malt sweetness with loads of citrus/floral hops. Hint of caramel and pine, but mostly inviting Willamette hops on the nose.
T: Pungent crystal malt sweetness balanced by complex hop profile. Bitterness is just right here and the dry-hopped Willamette's add a wonderful fruity and floral finish which leaves you wanting more.
M: Medium bodied with no carbonation.
O: A interesting blend of beer that I thoroughly enjoyed. The balance is outstanding, but the most enjoyable aspect is the noticeable hop character from the dry-hopping - especially on a warm summer afternoon. Well done Oskar Blues...another successful "experiment" of sorts!
