the base beer here has always been amazing, it really doesnt need anything, especially grapefruit. its hoppy enough and definitely already has that kind of citrus profile to it. however, the grapefruit here is amazing, and on tap, this beer is top notch. i just love how zesty and fresh and juicy the fruit is in here, but how it compliments the hop profile instead of taking it over. all the malts hold up the the acidity and sweetness of the fruit really well too, its just big enough to be balanced in this intense way, really really well done. it is another oskar blues limited beer that shines so far above their basic lineup, its really too bad they cant put beer like this out all the time. dry and tangy in the finish, loaded with real grapefruit flavor its real refreshing and hardly seems as strong as it is. one of the best oskar blues beers i can remember having, they should make this one all the time. i would borderline choose this over grapefruit sculpin, its that good i swear.

Beautiful red color; nose of bread and yeast, with a hint of grassiness; chewy, fizzy mouthfeel; nice flavor with a hint of sweetness on the start and finishes with a hop roundness. My palate was searching for a more robust citrus-hop finish, but all in all, a good, approachable beer.

Great beer! Big, big flavor, NOT for the faint of heart!
