On-tap at Wicked Weed Brewing, Asheville, NC
A: The beer is nearly jet black in color - there is are some brownish red colors visible near the edge of the glass when the glass is held up to the light. It poured with a thin off white head that died down, leaving a thin collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderately strong aromas of toasted coconut are present in the nose along with notes of vanilla.
T: The taste follows the smell and also has light flavors of bourbon from the barrel aging. The coconut flavors become a little stronger as the beer warms up.
M: It feels medium- to full-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is a very interesting beer that manages to blend the flavors of bourbon, coconut and vanilla together very well.
