A: pours a dark ruby-brown with a finger of beige head that fades into a thin ring with a little lacing.
S: there is a lot going on here. Sweet and tart cherries, musty barnyard, oak, red wine, dark fruits, and a little sour aroma. It all works together quite nicely.
T: similar to the aroma, there is a tasty mixture of sweet and tart cherries, oak, musty barnyard, red wine, and just a touch sour. The finish is lightly sweet with a slight alcohol presence.
M: medium body with lowish carbonation, this beer avoids being watery, but could use a little more carbonation.
O: a very tasty and enjoyable beer overall. There is a lot going on and it all works well together. It would be nice to see what a bit more age would do to this beer.
