The beer pours a reddish color with a white head. The aroma is very nice. I get a ton of tart cherry notes as well as a little bit of oak and toffee. The flavor follows suit. The cherries are nice and tart, as expected. I also get a lot of oak notes, as well as the vanilla that you sometimes get from oak-aged beers. The beer is fairly tart and fairly dry, which is what I am looking for in a Belgian kriek. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. A very nice fruit sour.
