Poured a clear brown color with a one-finger, light brown head of pillowy foam. It smelled mossy and earthy. There were some bready malts present, too. Good caramel and chocolate maltiness with an earthy, grassy hop presence. It had a slightly boozy taste, too. It was crisp and sharp. Medium bodied ale with a dry finish.

On-tap at the brewery.
A - Pours a reddish/brown color, thin ring, wisps on top.
S - A nice mix of hops and burnt sugars. The hops are a little more pronounced then I'm use to for the style, but this is still quite enjoyable. Some citrus and caramel notes in there as well.
T - Again, the hops and malts are neck and neck. The sugary sweetness is there, but still subtle. Very enjoyable and easy to drink, which isn't what I normally find with this style.
M - Medium, good carbonation, sweet rich finish with a hoppy bite.
O - Really enjoyed this one. A nice easy-drinking Scotch Ale, if you've ever heard of that before. I like that it's not overly sweet, and the hops help balance this one nicely. Recommend.
