I had no information about his one, picked it up and found no further information! No websites yet for the brewer or the brewpub it's housed in.
First thing you notice is the great creamy head with awesome retention. The color is toasted and brown with whiter bubbles filling in, like a good espresso drink.
Aromas include chocolate, molasses, chalky aspirin, and light roast coffee. Strong and somewhat potent, but inviting.
Flavor is sweet and smooth with an awesome creamy mouthfeel. Up front is a flavor of chocolate with roasted barley and a hint of metals in the finish. Long, creamy mouthfeel leaves a slight bitterness.
For a no-name beer and brewer, this is fantastic work. It's a very good dark beer, blowing every other Mexican "obscura" I've had clean out of the water. Pick this up if you see it in DF or anywhere else in Mexico
Without further guidance, I have it listed as a Porter, but it's right on the fence between a strong brown ale and a light-roasted stout. It seems not quite creamy enough for the latter and too roasted for the former.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
