473 ml can served cold into a glass mug. LCBO purchase for $3.15 CDN.
Appearance - Pale straw colored brew that is the shade of urine. A slight bit of haze. Two plus fingers of rocky white head rest on top and plenty of spotty lacing lingers behind.
Smell - Fairly grainy with some bready notes initially and followed by some sharp leafy hops, a touch of pepper and lemon.
Taste - Grainy initially, but some sharp buttery peppery quality on the tip of my tongue that seems unusual. Otherwise pretty standard fare for the style.
Mouthfeel - Really soft carbonation, if anything quite flat. Body is reasonably light but not as crisp as I'd hope for.
Overall - Trainspotter comes up a bit short as the buttery, peppery taste at the tip of my tongue and the lack of carbonation detract from an otherwise solid brew.
