750 mL bottle. Apparently quite fresh, as I was told that this beer has just been rereleased this month, brewed by Unibroue.
Slightly hazy orange brew with a healthy carbonation that slowly pushes the thick, frothy head a centimeter above the rim of the glass.
Powerful yeasty aroma, fresh bread and spices.
This is a moderately thick beer, quite sweet with fruity notes, apricot or peach, and a phenolic/alcoholic bite that peaks after 3 or 4 seconds and fades into dryness. There is also a spiciness to this beer that reminds me of a hefe-weizen. While not exceptionally complex, there is enough going on to keep me interested.
A very tasty brew, Unibroue have definitely improved it with their master touch, as I remeber trying this recipe when it was brewed independently and finding it quite average.
