97 vintage had at the saturday evening mondial 2004 gathering Amber-orange hue with ruby hints, off-white head. Complex color! Aroma is also tough to beat in the complex department where peaches, pears, prunes, pineapple all ride along the children roller coaster that is a mild alcohol. Next sniff declares orange and mango, ashamed to have been forgotten. This must have been glorious in the past. Very fruity palate, but just like the Sans Nom, the finish is weird, a bit off, stale, not quite cardboardish, but certainly smaller than it used to be, reminiscent of grape juice. Interesting experiment, big fruity flavors with all kind of undertones (wood, yeast, caramel...). RIP
