Copenhagen 12/10 2017. 33 cl bottle from Mad & Vin, Magasin, Kbh. K. Expensive looking label with grey rendering and white cool lettering.
Pours clear mahogany with small tan head. Settles as thin layer of foam barely covering the surface of the beer. Lacing on the side of the glass.
Aroma has a base of roasted dark malts with prominent notes of bitter coffee, grape fruit and a little smoke.
Medium strong carbonation and medium thick palate.
Flavor has distinct sweet malt base nicely balanced by medium to strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a citric streak.
Fine bittersweet experience - ending on a bitter note.
