The colour is dark brown, almost black. The airy low head is latte brown. Lots of lacing occurs.

The smell got hints of lime and American hops, creating a chemical bitter flavour. Some phenolic, almost Belgian yeasty note. Not very much of roasted malts.

Sweet fruity liquorice flavours in the taste. Cereals and hints of salt. Dry roasted malty flavours, toffee and some creamy notes. The aftertaste got distinct notes of sweet liquorice and a clean balanced bitterness. Juniper berries and a long lasting round roasted flavour in the finish.

The carbonation is strong, the bubbles medium sized. The liquid is light and medium dry.

A black beer with delicious liquorice flavours.
