First thing, I never have had a beer that spelt all over the place when you open it like this one. More than half of the beer was spilling all over my kitchen.
Let's proceed: Black colour, brown head, no lacing.
Aroma of coffee, chocolate, raisins, bourbon, vanilla. I can't smell the hazelnut.
Full body, sticky texture, flat carbonation. Sweet dinish.
Taste follows the aroma.
Pretty good beer, though I'll never have another one if I have to clean half of my house for it.

Pours with a light caramel coloured generous head, more so than usual. Eventually it leaves lacing behind. The nose has a thorough balance of bourbon, vanilla, hazelnut, chocolate and coffee. The taste is quite different from other BBA stouts. The bourbon is not at the fore, there is a woody bitterness (probably the hazelnut) and the booze is quite hidden. Sure, sometimes the sweetness of the vanilla is too much in these types of stouts, but this could have used just a slight bit more, perhaps an infusion of a small amount of caramel. Just a tad. As is, it's a good BBA stout but the body is somewhat thin.

Jet black w huge vanilla, bourbon brown sugar aroma before it gets to your face. Taste is more subtle but its all there in a big way. Very rich, the sweetness is balanced with roast, Top shelf imperial stout.
