Aroma of fresh barrels and bitter orange, the first sip is rich, warm orange and tequila, giving into cognac and loads of funky orange. It has a clean finish, strange for such a deep full beer. Got some bottles to age, young this is powerful, aged should be even better.

Purchased at the brewery for $15.00 for a 750ml bottle. Served at 6deg C in a draught glass. Marketed as an Imperial Wit with Blood Oranges aged 50/50 in tequila and cognac barrels each for 1yr
A- Opens well and pours a tiny white head that is gone in seconds. No lacing at all. Dark gold colour with a touch of red hue from the blood oranges. Unfiltered
S- Nice tequila and sour notes. Not overpowering but that orange is definitely there.
T- Tequila hits you up front. Went looking for the cognac however it was not to be found! Odds say a third use barrel or something. Has a slight orange flavor at the very end. Slightly sour and good yeast properties. It is a well blended brew but lacking in the cognac end.
M- Dry and tart at the end. Creamy at the beginning which is why I gave it a pretty good score.
O- Very good little brew. Will buy again if I see it on tap. If they do it again and up the cognac notes I will buy a few for sure. Hope they do!
Food Pairing
This pretty good little brew went well with...... California roll sushi. The veggies and light fish flavor pulls the orange up and out which was what I was looking for.
Enjoy
