355 ml can served cold into a tulip. LCBO purchase for $3.50 CDN. Canned May 21, 2021.
Appearance - Very hazy golden body with a big multi finger tumultuous head. Good staying power and loads of spotty lacing at the edges of the glass.
Smell - Hints of peach, some lemon zest and grapefruit, a touch of sweaty gym socks too.
Taste - Peach for a second then grapefruit and lemon. There's also a sweet citrus in there, thinking melon and cantaloupe combo. Pretty flavor and has middling bitterness. Crackery malt is an underlying theme.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied, quite light and crisp with lots of assertive carbonation. Finishes more juicy.
Overall - A rather solid pale ale, with the right balance of tropical fruits and bitterness, good intensity, sufficient ABV. Even more impressed that it still tastes this fresh two months after canning. Definitely worth a tipple although the price is on the steeper side.
