Some beers should come with a warning label. This one does. A very big, bitter imperial IPA. It has a bit of a punch. You’ve been warned.

Pours cloudy orange with a huge, frothy head that lasts the whole glass. Citrusy, melon, mango, papaya hops in the nose, with a bit of bready maltiness. The taste extremely hoppy with very high bitterness. Citrus, pineapple, mango hops in abundance. Light pale malts in the back. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. The finish is very bitter with mouthcoating lupulin in abundance.
A fantastic DIPA with more hop bitterness than is usual even these days. Highly recommend if you're a seasoned hophead.

Wow. All the hops, tons of body, slightly sweet start and huge smack of hops that lingers for a loooong time. So many parts and flavours bounce around. Its really the best beer around. Wish it was on a regular schedule and not just whenever they feel like making it..

An exceptional beer in the high alcohol department. Great feel, and excellent balance. This is how good beer tastes!

Purchased at the brewery 500ml bottle for $7.00. Served at 4deg C in a draught glass
A- Opens well and pours a 1/4" high white head with an aggressive pour. Medium to dark gold colour and unfiltered
S- Oodles of hops here. Grapefruit galore. Substantial heat.
T- First thing that hit me was the word light believe it or not. It just hits and down. Not much to it. Rather sweet. Not hop heavy by any stretch. Good beer not great.
M- Bitter but not as sweet as other IIPA's out there.
O- Pretty good all around. Will not buy again as there are many other very similar brews out there at a fraction of the price but it is a good mellow IIPA as opposed to many other IIPA's.
Food Pairing
This pretty good brew went well with...... Oyster Po'boy sandwiches. A nice spicy remoulade sauce. Tops it with some shredded romaine lettuce and touch of lemon.
Enjoy

A very nice, and unique for the area, IIPA. Lots of tropical fruit, and some pine. High ABV is well integrated. Very, very thick in the mouth. Not something I particularly like in a beer of this style, but would gladly drink again.

On tap at bar hop. Light golden with good lacing. Unfortunately my review was deleted, so I will save all the details and summarize that it os a tasty dipa, aromas of resin, grapefruit, and pine spice, and malty notes. Taste has a lot of hop bitterness, pine resin, spicy citrus, and forest, and that for the strength it is incredibly drinkable with a nice balanced alcohol spice, but as a whole it is not an outstanding dipa, the flavour was thin at times, if only that the hood could have been brighter and less grungy and herbal. Fairly tasty and balanced but relied to much on the big resiny bitter finish to carry the flavour. Good allround, and a good addition to try but I would hesitate to have it on a regular basis other than a heavy hop fixer.

From notes taken yesterday afternoon during a fantastic lunch at the brewery's restaurant.
Iridescent orange with minimal white head but impressive lacing. Aroma surprisingly limited - much less than I remember from earlier samples under the Sawdust City (collaborative) banner at Toronto's Session beer festival. However an amazingly powerful taste profile. Mango, pineapple and other tropical fruits make this a hop lover's dream. Other than a faint warmth in the finish, the 11% ABV is terrifyingly well hidden.
Definitely a DIPA and a brewery to watch.

Hazy pale orange-amber colour, ring of off white head, good amount of lace too. Smell is of big bitter hops, a ton of citrus fruit, grapefruit, pineapple, orange and mango, pine as well and just a sugestion of malt. Taste is in line with the nose, big bitterness up front, orange and grapefruit flavours, lightly sweet mid palate with a moderate malt bill. Lightly carbonated, oily and big bodied. Solid DIPA here, worth coming back to many times over in the near future.

Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub. A double IPA that hits the bullseye. Though a big hop fix it was very drinkable to an old hophead associate, and I ordered it twice(as they only give you a smaller glass of it). A large retained head on cloudy grapefruit. A fuller and smooth mouthfeel, the latter noteable for the style. The palate is coaxed into being erased. Some grapefruit flavour.
