If the zombie apocalypse is coming, this beer is strong enough to get you through. Big, dark, and strong roasted flavours dominate with a deep sweet malt backbone. Stock up.

50cl. bottle, bought at Las Buenas Pulgas, served at home in a snifter glass.
Pours almost black colour, small brown head with short retention, sticky brown lacing.
Aroma of roasted malts, molasses, dried fruits, licorice, leather, some chocolate
Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation. Coffeeish finish.
Taste of licorice, roasted malts, dried fruits and some chocolate.
Just good, but not too complex.

A beauty to down, but a hard stop at 2, 3 maximum. To continue beyond will have you acting like a zombie.

Black with a firm tan head, good retention, nice lace.
Subtle aroma of coffee and pumpernickel rye bread.
Extra strong coffee up front, roasted nut, with molasses and licorice undertones. Good bitterness. I'd swear there was coffee in this!
Moderate to full body has some roasted acidity.
Thanks BakaGaijin!

On tap:
A pleasant looking dark head that was short lived. Dark and thick without being syrupy.
Overall the beer is undone by harsh roast character that comes on quick overwhelms the chocolate and lingers astringently for minutes afterward.

Inky black in color with a quickly dissipating thin head of tan bubbles. There's no way any light is penetrating this Imperial Stout. The nose throws off aromas of cooked oatmeal, dark specialty malts, milk chocolate, roasted barley walnut paste, mint, and, very faintly in the background, balsamic vinegar. Intensely bold and full-bodied with a slight degree of oiliness, Zombie Apocalypse is spot on for its style. Layers of flavor build from a creamy, coffee-like base, adding tobacco leaf, cola and bittersweet chocolate. Burnt toast, too. You'll never see the undead horde approaching with a beer this complex to distract you—and maybe that's a good thing. If you're waiting for the world to end, you might as well savor the mouth-coating, tannic notes and the underlying richness of this dark creation.

Tried at the brewery. Served at 8deg C or so in a draught glass
A- Pours a nice dark brown head that lasts for around 3-4mins before film out. Very dark brown colour and almost black
S- A bit lacking here. Has the malt you expect but not a lot of it
T- Nice and hoppy with a high malt base. Nice balance and good complexity. Nice noble hops and good sweetness. No heat at all for nearly 10% brew
M- Good and rich. Has a thickness I like.
O- Very good brew. Excellent base for all sorts of variants. Hope they continue to brew these good stouts.
Food Pairing
This nice little brew would go well with...... Braised beef in a tomato base.
Enjoy

A: Colour pretty much black with small mocha head.
S: Actually pretty boozy, something I didn’t expected. It has strong hop tones, something I’d say is not that usual in a IS, pine and some citric tones. There are strong roasted malts and coffee mostly.
T: Is quite bitter, I appreciate some bitterness in my Imperial Stout, this one is nice but a bit overpowering. I’d say there is some chocolate too, roasted malt and light coffee, Not to Complex But nice,
M: It has a low to med carbonation Full and slightly creamy body but a bit light id say compared to others Imperial Stouts.
O: is an Ok Imperial Stout, not too complex a bit to bitter but nice overall, I was definitely over hyped for this beer, not as good as I would of hoped.

Bottle from their first (of hopefully many) bottling run!!!! Consumed two days after bottling.
Poured in to tulip.
A - Deep black with one finger of cocoa brown head and good lacing.
S - Roast, smoke, chocolate and some piney hops.
T - Bitter roast, smoke, anise, chocolate and a touch of piney hop flavour (not as much as the nose indicated). A long, bitter finish.
M - Full body. Creamy. Light carbonation.

From notes taken yesterday afternoon during a fantastic lunch at the brewery's restaurant.
An oily near-black with limited head and little lacing, but still a good-looking beer. Beautiful hop-forward aroma of roasted dark and chocolate malts with coffee tones. Powerful but well balanced flavour melds sweet and bitter elements nicely. The finish lingers with its coffee notes for an impressive length of time.
Highly recommend this beer and this brewery.
