On-tap at Bellwoods. The sister beer to Bellwoods' Tommy Likey, but brewed with Belgian yeast.
Beer is cloudy marmalade in colour. Darker than the Bellwoods version. Small to medium-sized frothy white head, which dissipates steadily.
Smell is a bit dank and herbal. Belgian yeast.
Belgian yeast is prominent in the flavour, resulting in banana, bubblegum and honey. Some clove as well. Amazing how much the yeast drowns the hops out. The hops are still there, and give soe tropical flavours, but they are muddier than in the Bellwoods version. Moderately bitter, but the finish seems a bit sweet.
Full bodied, moderately carbonated.
Overall, not bad, but the Bellwoods variation is far superior.
