From a bottle...I'm not a a fan of this brewery particularly but let's check this IPA out.
Intense deep dark orangey colour. Head is fairly alive.
There is a complex depth of flavour...some apricot, banana and bitter lime coming through...but it's a little heavy and lacks the invigoration of an IPA from the West Coast. The malt over powers the bitterness and hops, and there is no citrus or apricotty dominating fruitiness...which creates an IPA that is uninvigorating and a little too flat and dry.
I would generally prefer a pilsner over this. Still, it does have complex, intense flavour. So it's a great effort for sure.
