Czech pilsner, brewed by Ursus in Romania, who are owned by Asahi in Japan. I had Kozel on draft in Krakow, which is amazing.
Quite dark for a pilsner...head died down fairly fast but looks good...light flowery hoppy and malty aroma. Flavour not really comparable to the Polish one, and I have never had the Czech one. It's well balanced, quite dry but lacking anything that stands out...it's a little flat, and quite tasteless. Overall this tastes more like Ursus than Kozel.
