Sure it takes us way too long to make this beer, but we'd rather err on the side of awesome. Made with Saaz hops and Pilsner malt, we lager each batch for ten weeks to do this classic, Czech-style Pils right.

can from the brewery
a: poured into a mother earth cylinder, producing a good two fingers of thick white head, retention and lacing are good, the beer itself a golden hay in color
s: grainy pilsner malt complemented by delicate grassy hop notes, some slightly sweet notes, a touch of white pepper
m: carbonation a soft light-medium, body crisp and in the lighter range, but not thin
t: clean pilsner grain flavors, just the right touch of malt sugar midway with grassy hops to clean things up, a gently drying, slightly bitter finish, good stuff
o: a high quality true-to-style pils, very drinkable

Poured into straight pint glass. Poured a clean, clear pale yellow color with well over an inch (my bad, accidentally aggressive pour) of white head that had pretty good retention and light to moderate lacing.
The aroma was the typical soft, earthy grains and gentle hops that is expected in the style. The taste was pretty much right where it needed to be, and offered no surprises, good or bad.
The body was light and smooth, but not as crisp and clean as the better examples are. Drinkability was very good, a passel of cans would make a good partner for a day of out door activities. Overall, a pretty nice take on the style, certainly worth a shot if you see it.

Another appreciated throw-in from FalconA.
Clear, straw-yellow pour, fizzy white head, bubbly carbonation. Looked like a pils. Aroma of biscuity malts, toasted grains, light floral hops. Smelled like a pils. Did it taste like a pils too? Yep! Biscuity pils malts, light sweetness, grainy, lager yeast, mild floral hops. It was all there. Light body, and easily drinkable for the style, probably best on a hot summer day. If you like pilsners, you'd most likely like this, but it's just not my style.

Guessing this is the correct listing, as there are no other Hilliard's Pils listed.
Pours neon yellow light with a solid finger of loose, short lived white foam. Smells of a hint of skunk, plenty of grain, some corn, a bit of hay and some nice herbal hops. Flavor up front made me think of corn tortillas. Is this bad? Maybe, but I kinda appreciate it in a circumstantial standpoint. I wouldn't tell a person this was a must have, but certainly a thing to have with a few lengua tacos at your local truck... That being said, there really isn't much else going on in the flavor: some water, some corn, some tortilla. Medium on full bodied for the style with moderate carb and an off dry finish. An interesting beer.

Poured from 16oz tall can into a pint glass.
Appearance: light golden hue with a touch of haze and a nice effervescence. Head is a finger of frothy white foam with somewhat decent retention. Not bad.
Smell: light malty aroma with a pretty big bouquet of noble hops. There's also a mild graininess underneath. A pretty good representation of the style!
Taste: light malt with, again, a very good noble hop quality and a touch of grain in the base. Quite true to the aroma. Again, a great representation of the style.
Mouthfeel: medium-light bodied with a decent level of carbonation and actually a pretty good creaminess. I like it.
Overall: quite a decent Pilsner indeed. I'll definitely have this beer again.

With a nice sunny day, comes the desire for a bright, refreshing pils! Let's see how this one stacks up.
Served from a growler into a mug.
A - Pours a light, golden hue, with plenty of carbonation, and a nice, single finger white head.
S - Smell is of lager yeast, cakey malts, grains, and honey.
T - Taste is of honey and the aforementioned "cake-y" malts, balanced w/subtle, but not spicy (typical of pilsners) hops. Has a slightly floral aftertaste. Light, but lots of flavor!
M - Light-bodied, and very easy to drink, but not lacking in flavor.
O - Overall, this is a nice, flavorful option for an easy-drinking, sunny day beer. You won't find the spicy hops typical of Czech Pilsners here, but still one of the better US examples I've come across. Nice job!

S - Smell is of lager yeast, cakey malts, grains, and honey.
T - Taste is of honey and the aforementioned "cake-y" malts, balanced w/subtle, but not spicy (typical of pilsners) hops. Has a slightly floral aftertaste. Light, but lots of flavor!
M - Light-bodied, and very easy to drink, but not lacking in flavor.
O - Overall, this is a nice, flavorful option for an easy-drinking, sunny day beer. You won't find the spicy hops typical of Czech Pilsners here, but still one of the better US examples I've come across. Nice job!
