On tap at Golden Road Brewing in Los Angeles, CA.
Pours a clear dark orange-brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa, and earth aromas. Taste is much the same with earth, char, and slight cocoa flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer with a solid smell, but the flavors are a bit subdued and boring in my opinion.
