ya know what? this is hard to swallow... i was optimistic (after having a Braggot from Bottle Logic last year) but this is a tad nasty when after you 'whet your whistle' and try finishing the can.... and the price? you gotta be kidding me! i'm just not sure what to make of Golden Road.... all that money from Budweiser and the stuff they produce is barely average in my opinion.....

This one was like Raul’s first day in high school: he didn’t know what to expect. You know, jocks, cheerleaders, nerds... madness! Unlike high school though, this offering from Golden Road is less complex. Let’s dig deeper like Howard Carter digging up King Tut... And? There isn’t much to dig up. It’s pretty much like a light milk stout. Texture is damn near embarrassingly thin, while the taste is that of your basic Milk Stout. $8.99 a can? Like Soapy Smith working over the state of Alaska, Raul got duped.
*Edit As this thing warmed up, it got better. It’s still really thin (I have nothing else to compare it to though). Still the flavor is nice. Sweet stout, honey and I guess, ‘Braggot flavors.’ Definitely not a fan of a 16 ounce can (price point and I just don’t want that much). But it’s not as bad as I initially thought.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
