On cask for the 2nd Anniversary event at Tony's Darts Away in Burbank, CA.
Pours a murky honey orange with a foamy tan head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Foamy rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of citrus zest, spices, alcohol, some soapy flavors, and slight tropical fruit as the beer warms. Taste is of citrus fruit, citrus zest, spices, and some slightly soapy flavors. There is a mild bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer but the soapy aromas and flavors were unexpected.

Consumed at the brewery on January 15, 2012.
Beer is a cloudy golden/amber with a three-finger foamy white head.
Aroma is fruity: peaches and apricots but somewhat restrained.
Flavor has very little malt character up front (fleeting caramel). Nice fruitiness as in the nose follows this then a wash of pine finishes things up. Moderate bitterness on finish.
Mouthfeel is slightly thicker than water and yet somehow also a bit on the thin side.
Not a lot to recommend this one; inoffensive at best.
