Consumed January 15, 2012 at the brewery.
Medium to dark amber and slightly hazy. A very fine small head that's really just a ring around the edges of the glass.
No aroma at all, despite my deep inhalations. Wait! i did pick up a slight metallic smell.
A little spicy/peppery rye flavor that segues into caramel malt. Slightly dry. Long after the swallow, some nondescript bitterness appears. Just not much going on overall.
While "dreading" is too strong a word, I did not look forward to drinking an entire glass of this. I did manage to finish it, though it took a while.
