Had this at Tony's Darts Away in Burbank. They staff there made it wiht the Golden Road brewers.

Pours light amber with a bit of an orange hue. Nice with foam that lingers and leaves nice lacing.

Smells of citrus and bright hops jump out of the glass. Maybe a little pine too.

For an IPA that is almost 10% this beer has a unique hop presentation that gives a citrus and apricot flavor with a nice bitter finish.

Medium to light medium body makes it hard to stop drinking.

This is an outstanding huge IPA that will hopefully be available at more than just one bar.

On tap at Tony's Darts Away in Burbank, CA.

Pours a murky honey orange with a foamy off-white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus fruit, and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with a grapefruit juice flavor on the finish. There is a milc amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a very good beer with some great citrus forward aromas and flavors.

On tap for Tony"s Darts Away's 3rd Anniversary. Pours a golden orange. Very bright with a slight bit of lacing and some apparent alcohol legs.

Smell is hop forward with piney grapefruit and some lemon. Tropical woody fruit and caramel malts.

Taste hits initially with some tropical grapefruit bitterness and some woody caramel burnt malty notes on the end.

Mouthfeel has some bite from the carbonation and hops but is somewhat viscous.

Overall it's a great one off imperial ipa for the anniversary. Reminds me of some other golden road offerings just a bit more amped up. Wouldn't mind trying this recipe again at the 4th anniversary!
