First time having Pumpkin Thief in a couple years and I gotta say, it was better than I remembered. Rich, dark orange almost burgundy appearance with a small white head and no lacing. Really pleasant smell, in line with what you'd expect in a good pumpkin beer. Taste is enough pumpkin without getting too gimmicky. Hints of other fall spices, but not too sweet. Just a really solid pumpkin beer.

Best pumpkin ale I've ever had. Hands down.

Big thanks to Kegatron for sharing this growler with me. Poured to snifter, the brew appears a deep burnt copper to mahogany color with beautiful claroty. Some spotty khaki head holds around the perimeter of the glass.
The aroma is vegetative with pumpkin flesh with a mild accenting earthy nutmeg aspect with light cinnamon and fruity alcohol contents. Overall a solid, balanced smelling pumpkin ale that shows an enjoyable amount of restraint to it's spiced additions.
The taste is mildly vegetatice like the aroma suggested with a starchy pumpkin flesh and nutmeg-like earthen spice. Some fruity alcohol warmth is noted across the back. The equality between raw pumpkin flavor and spice, mixed with alcohol is very enjoyable.
This is a medium bodied brew with a light amount of carbonation. A bit warming with booze and an overall nice arrangement of character. Nothing off-putting or out of place in this brew. I would drink it again. It is in the top tier of new pumpkin beers I got to try this year. Thanks again for sharing Heath!
