From the growler station at The Party Source in a growler and served in a snifter.
This solid little stout pours a deep and muddy blackish brown with a very
nice head of light tan foam that settles to a thick robust ring, thin swirling pool,
and shows nice lacing, with each sip. Nose of rich coffee, dark sweet chocolate,
and touches of dark fruit with a hint of char. Flavors hit the perfect note for the
style with dark fruit dancing about with a low acid cold pressed coffee with
dark cocoa and touches of char and light cream elements. Very nice mouth
feel; medium full body, VERY smooth from the oats, lightly coating, light
carbonation, and a lightly sweet and subtly dry roasted finish.
A great all around stout drinkers stout. Nothing overly brash, no bourbon
and whiskey, just a solid stout. Very nice!
Cheers

A - Dark body, mostly opaque, nearly back but with brown highlights. The top is thin and fades, a head of light tan, and small bubble lacing.
S - Lush coffee notes, chocolate, and dark bread.
T - Powerful hit of coffee acidity, chocolate and molasses, with a trailing acidity and mild bitterness in the close.
M - Too light. Clean and brisk, ending with a bit of prickly dryness.
O - A decent coffee stout, but lands a touch light on the tongue.

Darkly roasted, with a half-finger of head that quickly dissipates, leaving no trace behind. Above-average in terms of its coffee quality, but that said, the coffee is not distinctive in any particular way. An enjoyable but unremarkable coffee stout from one of Indianapolis's top breweries.
