Draft pour at Fiddlers Hearth
(Collaboration with Bare Hands)
First thing I noticed was how nice it looked in the glass: pillowy head and crimson in color(dimly lit bar), with decent clarity. The nose was very basic with the norm for this style in the ABV range: muted hop presence with a promise of stickey sweetness. Hops came forward in the taste, but mostly on the back end. Dried and candied tropical fruit is my best flavor descriptor here, with the slightest inclusion of watermelon. Lingering sweetness settles back in after the hop punch tickles the buds. Altogether a nice brew.
