Deepest black color with a thick thin caramel head with short retention.
Bold aroma with notes of dark chocolate, mild smoke, biscuit malts and cocoa.
Sweet flavor with notes of oats, tons of chocolate (I could swear they added it to the recipe), lactic acid, cocoa, earthy hops and caramels. Dry aftertaste with a mild bitterness.
Full body with appropriate carbonation. Alcohol of 7.5% is incredibly well hidden.
Although I am not so found of sweet beers, it sure has an interesting and bold chocolate and oat bias. Well-crafted and good option under the style. A bit cloying, though.

Nice Sweet Stout, not my favorite style of beer but this one is ok. Pours deep brown, almost black ale with a very mild foam head. Smell is good but taste is kind of artificial, you can taste de flavoring syrup.

Interesting offering - picked this one up at El Deposito in Condesa and brought it back to the states. Definitely a solid effort, although also not on the level of a couple of the other Mexican brewery stouts out there (La Chingoneria's Hazmela Rusa and Calavera's Mexican Imperial Stout are both definitely worth trying).
Taste is about what you would expect for the style - strong notes of chocolate and coffee, almost dark chocolate at the finish. Mouthfeel feels a bit thin for the style, although that may not be a bad thing if you're not a fan of some of the inkier stouts out there. Overall, it's a solid sweet stout, and definitely is faithful to the style. It could use a bit more to the flavor though (a barrel aged version could be epic).
Not an easy one to find, and definitely worth trying if you run across it. That said, I'm curious to see how it does with cellaring (at 7.5% ABV, it may hold up a bit better than some sweet stouts) - as it could benefit from some added depth for sure. Definitely glad to see more Mexican craft brewers entering the scene though, and looking forward to seeing other developments with this brewery.
