Pours a brownish-orange hue. Nice, super clean and crisp sessionable pumpkin ale. Hits all the notes you would expect from the style. One I will pick up again next year.

Weird. Bought a sixer of Blatant IPA to try out and by accident 2 bottles were this pumpkin ale, a style which I have never been tempted to try. I was a little pissed at the substitution. But, despite my qualms, I actually enjoyed this brew. I was expecting a sweet and cloying pumpkin pie sort of beer, but instead I got an interesting, spicy and quite enjoyable beer. Not even included on the Blatant website, so I guess it's a one and done.

Nearly no head that settles so quickly that it could be a soda. No lace. Dark amber color. Slightly cloudy.
Semi-tart aroma with a fresh smell of pumpkin. There's a bit of cinnamon and toasted bread in the background.
Tastes like a pumpkin laden brown ale. Yet the color doesn't reflect the taste. Some alcohol. A bit earthy. Low carbonation, full bodied. No sweetness that is often associated with this style.
