On tap at Bull and Bush; poured into a pint glass.
Appearance - dark gold/orange. Little carbonation and only a thin white head. Lacing is decent despite the thin head.
Smell - nice hop forward aroma, not breathtaking, but very enjoyable.
Taste - easy drinking and refreshing. Nice balance.
Feel - certainly a very mild version of the Man Beer, light and watery.
Overall - I could have a few, but would much rather have the Man Beer.

agree and respectfully disagree with the other reviewer of this brew. its the baby brother of the famous man beer, and while that beer is darn good, it lacks the ability to drink all night long, say if you go to bull and bush to watch a game or something. drunk by halftime. the son of man answers this problem, and while I agree that its a little watery in comparison, I have to admit I like it, despite its lack of hop continuity from its parent. its lighter in body and abv, which makes it easier down, it is also unfortunately lighter in flavor, with the English malt balancing out the hops a little more than necessary, but I appreciate the void it fills on the beer list there. medium bodied still, and carbonated well enough. I know this yeast all too well. overall nothing mid boggling here, but a nice introduction of a session ipa. I still prefer the 4.0 gpa, grapefruit pale ale to this one, maybe they will bring it back...

On tap at the Bull and Bush, I was hoping this really would be a dialed down version of Man Beer like Founders All Day IPA or Lagunitas Daytime IPA but in actuality is was a watered down version. Appearance was fine, nice orange, good head. The aroma had something funky going on that I didn't care for and the flavor watery and a poor substitute for a man beer. Not recommended.
