On-draught @ the brewpub.
Espresso is subtle, failing to impart much bitterness. Chocolate specialty malt brings sweetness, as do dark malts.
Creamy, soft, smooth, wet, and full-bodied. Well-carbonated.
Not in league with Bull & Bush's finest (read: Legend of the Liquid Brain) but better than most of the mediocrity they routinely put out.

Pours black with a medium sized khaki head. The head retention is fair, with spots and a few lines of lacing left behind. The aroma is light bodied, with notes of espresso, chocolate, toasted malts, and oatmeal. The flavor profile is very similar with notes of espresso, chocolate, oatmeal, and toasted and musky malts. Mouth feel is thin, light, and smooth. Overall, it's a tasty beverage. Despite its light body, it does have plenty going on.
Served in a 12oz snifter.

Awesome these guys finally did a coffee beer, and it's a darn good one too, on tap at freshcraft. Flat dark brown to black in luster and color, with a soapy near inch of tan foam, fades quick though. The aroma here is tremendous, fresh pulled espresso shots, earth and roast, maybe a burnt element too from the grain but it works well. That char is there in the taste too, but the intensity of the coffee and the smooth sweet body from the oats balanced out that bitter edge really nicely. Raw dark chocolate in the flavor with the coffee, good depth here. Easy drinking too though, as it dries out in the end and is smooth without being huge. English ale yeast likely, although its flavor is tempered by the coffee too. A few pints of this is no problem, uncommon drinkability for the style I think. Bull and bush has always done the darker stuff well, and this is an excellent addition to heir already stellar lines. I hope it sticks around. Great coffee aroma and flavor all the way through this beer.

Dark brown body; thin yet lasting head; a bit of clinging foam down the glass. Deep coffee and roasted grain aroma; chocolate. Coffee flavors; mild bitter chocolate. Medium body; watery and thin; slightly acrid.
Well...the beer has good aroma and a fair flavor yet just seems weak and watery overall. There is no denying the coffee presence but the oatmeal is barely present other than a wimpy smoothness to things. Not bad yet doesn't really deliver anything memorable.
