Partly cloudy, dull orange body; thin, bubbly head. Vanilla and cocoa aroma; Oreo cookies. The flavor mirrors the aroma; a wee bit bitter. Heavy body yet rather watery.
The label states puffed rice, milk sugar and oats were used as adjuncts and the beer matured on fresh vanilla beans, cacao, and sweet cherries. There wasn't any discernible cherry notes and the body, while heavy, didn't really bring out and oat-like qualities to the mouthfeel. The vanilla and cacao do shine within the aroma and flavor, but the appearance, with it's wimpy head, just doesn't cut it. A fair tasting beer but without an redeeming eye appeal.
