Inside cap info: What's Yours?
Mildly hazy, deep yellow body; thick, creamy, lasting white head. Light malt, light grapefruit aroma. Light grain backbone; mild sweetness melded with a dull citrus rind bite and bitterness. Medium bodied; nicely balanced sweetness and dryness on the palate.
Again, lacking "official" style guidelines for a New England IPA, this review is based mostly on personal prejudices for IPAs. With that said, the beer is okay yet doesn't present much depth or variety in the flavor while the aroma lacks oomph. Not bad per se yet where's the distinctive pizzazz that this style is supposed to deliver? I don't know. An okay beer yet muddled and uninspired.
