a brand new wit from these guys, and a really fantastic take on the style, truly as good as any american belgian wit type i have had in a long time, its wonderfully good, very authentic on the yeast, and drinkable to no end. high on the citrus, mild on the coriander, with the yeast really being the predominant flavor element, but there is nuance and balance, and i can really taste the wheat in here, its not just a malt background for the sake of it, but a really fresh and robust wheaty character through it, not different or deviant for the style at all, but unique in some way, maybe partially raw, maybe supplemented by something else, but its great, fluffy, and clean. as flavorful as any other element too. some fresh zested orange in nose and taste, not acidic or anything, really bright and fresh and natural. the yeast has subtle fragrance of cut flowers and pink gum, with a rock candy sort of crystalline sweetness somehow with the wheat, notes of green apple, anise, and green banana, a classically belgian profile that fits the style, really pretty robust, delicious. high carbonation makes a really flavorful beer quite refreshing, and its dry enough in the finish to work in a session context. a great example of the style here, shockingly good even, we loved it1
