Had on tap at the brewery
On arrival 1 thick finger of fine white head was present, then over a few minutes it dissipates to a thin covering and decent ring around the glass that clings to the sides. Body is a golden straw.
Aroma is earthy and sweet with a slight floral hop in the background. A touch of doughy lager character is present as well.
The taste is immediately not your standard lager woth a bright floral note followed by a big earthy flavor as the floral note transforms to a hop bitterness. Lots of flavor but quite light and not all that malty apart from soft dough.
Feels crisp and cold with a medium to high carbonation. Highly attenuated beer that verges on light.
Overall the hops and presumably potato make for a strange flavor but over time you do get used to it. An interesting take on a euro lager.
