Pours a hazy, amber color. 1/4 inch head of an off-white color. Great retention and good lacing. Smells of alcohol, hops, wheat, slight citrus, and slight sweet malt. Fits the style of a Wheatwine. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of hop, sweet malt, slight citrus, yeast, slight alcohol, and a hint of spice. Overall, good appearance, aroma, feel, and body.

On tap at Bull & Bush, served in a tall wine glass.
The 40th Anniversary Wheatwine has a slightly hazy golden yellow-orange color. The head is short and settles quickly.
The aroma is really nice in a fresh citrusy hop kind of way. Similar hops to man beer, if I had to guess, because of the candied orange peel character that I pick up in both.
Flavor is quite good as well with more of that orange/grapefruit hop. The base of the beer is easily identified as a wheat beer as it has the banana and clove notes that are seen in a hefe. Everything is ramped up though (I believe this one was around 10% ABV) so the flavors are more intense.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and perfectly carbonated. Way too easy to drink for being so strong.
A great beer overall. If you like double IPAs and wheatwines, this is where it's at. Too bad it was a one and done.
