cool brew. strong dark belgian ale soured up and aged in wine barrels. pours the darkest shade of red you can imagine, deeper than any wine, minimal white head. smells like a sour, with some fruity sweetness as well. flavor is really unique, tannic and acidic from the wine right away, a wave of bubbles then emerges carrying the sour flavors, and it resides away to a very malty sweet yeasty finish. honestly it tasts a bit like a cherry coke with more effervescent carbonation. full bodied and not a beer you would want to drink all night, but worth a try for something new. the idea is magnificent, the execution is B+

I had this one on tap the other night at the brewery. Poured a murky reddish brown color with a medium tan head. Tart and vinuous, with aromas of red grapes, oak and brett. On the palate, this one was tart and medium bodied, with flavors of red grapes, oak and brett.
