Draft into pint glass. The first one poured a clear-ish amber with a thick, off-white head; the second one was completely cloudy and had essentially NO head. Both were more West Coast than New England; the first was quite hoppy with citrus and pine dominating; the second was chalky and bitter, with an unpleasant dankness to it. Finish was bitter, although not unpleasantly so. The waitress assured me that they were both out of the same tap.
I don't know how to score this, so I'm going to try to strike a balance between the two. Since Liquid Hero is local, I might try to sample a glass at the brewery just to resolve my schizophrenic experience.

Nice carbonation, fluffy head, hazy-hardly. Taste is OK, nothing special but is drinkable. Not the worst beer you’ll drink. Figured it was reasonably fresh since it’s somewhat local but the can is, sadly, undated.

Impulse buy, local and very fresh so I took a shot. Glad I did! This had relatively mellow hop notes of mellon, fresh citrus, and some light finishing rind-y bitterness. I found this refreshing and approachable. My pack won't last long.
