I had this for the second time on tap last night at the brewery tasting room in York, PA. Served chilled in a snifter.
The color is rosy amber with thin cream crust with mild haze and some visible carbonation, lace sticks well. The smell is fruity and slighty piney with a tinge of alcohol and citrus. The feel is good with nice sweet element on the tip of the tongue but bitterness increases midway to finish with more of a bitter finish which is mostly dry.
The taste is very good with slight caramel malt and hint of fruity yeast flavor but the hops have a nice citrus rind and pine taste which almost seems peppery midway. The alcohol is not very noticeable in this double ipa which is saying something since it is 9.5%. I like this beer and would order it anytime it is available.
