This is a really nice surprise from Keg Creek. Pours a light copper with a slight haze. Very little head and lacing. Smell is graham cracker and lemon zest. Taste is light malt body with hint of wheat cracker, slight bitterness, nice fresh hop flavor of citrus, dank, and mango hints. Could use slightly more malt for balance but quite tasty.

Beautiful orange pour. Citra aromas extremely prominent the second you pop the cap. Drier than expected but still holds a slightly sweet malt backbone. Mild bitterness, medium body.

my first beer from these guys, whom i had not ever heard of before this one. its a citra hopped pale ale, but quite a malty one, with a bit more of the crystal malts in it, giving it a darker orange color than a lot of american pales, but it looks frothy white headed and very active from the tap. aroma here is citra hops for sure, and so is the flavor, but not as heavy on the late kettle and dry hop as some of the more juicy expressions of citra, i like that it has some of the more vegetal bitter aspects at play as well, but i think it falls into that "overbalanced" category, as the slightly darker and richer malts make the beer sort of sweet and a little heavier, crowding out some of the citra hops best features. this is not sweet or anything, but its not crisp and dry and as refreshing as i like my pales to be, especially the ones focused on these lower bitterness higher fruity sort of hops. one thing thats evident though is that the beer is well made, these guys appear to know what they are doing in the brewhouse, even if this isnt my personal favorite recipe. the body is nice, the carbonation is on point, and the flavor of the hops is excellent in here. i will look forward to trying more beers from these guys down the road...
