Michelstädter Rathausbräu

Our host family brought my wife and me here for dinner and to enjoy their beers. It was the first somewhat-warm day during our trip so we celebrated and chose one of the few tables at the front of the building. The inside was not busy, but the outdoor tables were full. The interior has a nice vibe to it, and I would have enjoyed being in there too.

There were only 4 beers on tap, and we ended up having three of them (marzen, schwarzbier and maibock). Each was brewed very well to its respective style and it became a toss-up whether the maibock or marzen was our favorite. The food here was equally as good as the beers. This is a quaint little place in a quaint town that would be great to have nearby back here at home. One additional note: I think they are also a small distillery because I saw a Schwarz Brandy in a display case if you are interested in spirits.
