2017 version. Let's see how this one goes. The collaboration made by Nogne was exceptional, but I heard the local version suffered some bug invasion.
Deep black color with a thin caramel plate that disappear in a blink.
Nice aroma with notes of cocoa, charcoal, spices and licorice. Yes, I can refer this to a Mole Poblano.
Flavor with notes of cocoa powder, dry chilies, cola, charred wood, oatmeal, roasted coffee beans, citrusy hops and some pine. Dry, roasty and bitter aftertaste.
Light bordering medium body. No way can you tell this is 9% abv.
This felt somewhat like a different proposal than the similar brew they made in collaboration by Nogne. But that is a fine beer. Flavors are less intense, but increased drinkability considerably. Good Imperial Stout hailing from to the Mexican gods. Worth tasting.
