Had this in the Riviera Maya on vaca. The best beer all week. Above average RIS that is very flavorful. Medium body but the beer makes up for it by far.

Pours a black color. 1/4 inch head of an off-tan color. Slight retention and slight lacing. Smells of strong sweet malt, chocolate, hint of roasted malt, slight yeast, hint of alcohol, and a hint of earthiness. Fits the style of an American Double / Imperial Stout. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of strong sweet malt, chocolate, hint of roasted malt, slight yeast, hint of alcohol, hint of chile, and a hint of earthiness. Overall, poor appearance, but good blend, feel, and body.

Pitch black color with a thin caramel head that disappear in a heartbeat.
Nice aroma with lots of cocoa and dark chocolate notes, licorice, homemade coffee and plums.
Flavor with notes of dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans, cola, very mild touch of Mexican chiles, vanilla, a bit of lactic acid and molasses. Dry aftertaste with a rounded bitterness that feels lower than its 50 IBUs.
Full body with appropriate carbonation of tiny bubbles. Alcohol of 8% is absent.
Great Russian Imperial Stout; assertive notes of chocolate is not overdone and the chile is just hiding on the background. Enough IBUs just to balance this all. Not tiresome, not too intense and nor cloying. Sure worth trying. Viva México cabrones!

L- Jet black body with a creamy cappuccino colored head. Leaves a thin halo around the edges. Consistency looks silky while being poured.
S- Chocolate, toasted malts and vanilla, a bit weak.
T- Starts with sweet vanilla and chocolate, turns around into dark bitter chocolate and a spicy ending note, surely from the added chili.
F- Medium, velvety.
O- Very nice, but not very complex.

Served in a snifter, it pours an inky black with one finger of dark brown head, frothy, with some retention. Nice lacing.
The aroma is of chocolate, roasted malts, vanilla, brown sugar, just a hint of caramel. The chili spiciness appeared after some swirls.
The chocolate flavor is the most assertive, molasses, caramel and vanilla, a bit of the roasted malts. After the initial sweetness, the bitterness comes in, tamed, with a subdued spicy note.
The mouthfeel is very silky, medium body.
I can see why this sweet beer is a gold medalist.

A: very dark brown color almost black or not translucent, head is also brown but not very big, carbonation is not rich but not expected to be just enough for generating a permanent layer on top of the beer.
S: Intense aroma, excellent as should full of toasted malts and also some alcohol as the style demands, chocolate aroma can also be sensed.
T: Again excellent flavor, very aligned with the aroma, intense toasted malts with some chocolate, alcohol can also be sensed clearly and hops are present.
M: The sensation is also nice, complicated as should but balanced and complex, starting with partial sweetness and transforming to bittersweet and finally some bitterness in the end.
